The other day at the office, an unfortunate incident left us stranded on the outside looking in – literally. Seems our temperamental lock decided to click itself closed as we went out to pick up the mail. After a quick search of the nearby bushes did not uncover a spare key, we were forced to give our security company a call and have them dispatch a locksmith to let us back in.
While we waited for rescue, a few of us took turns “jamming, poking, wiggling and pushing” the locked handle with the hope that the lock would somehow click itself back open. This strategy is akin to the practice of shaking a TV remote with the expectation that the batteries will no longer be dead.
As we expected, our efforts, no matter how well intentioned, had no effect on the locked door. We resigned ourselves to waiting for the experts to arrive.
Within an hour, the locksmith arrived and with a deft poke and jiggle of a standard issue pocket knife, was able to spring open the door in a matter of seconds. All it took was the right tool and the right experience. We were now able to re-enter the office and continue on with our day.
The services we offer clients are a lot like the locksmith. Companies can work very hard to kick, shout, push and tug in order to get let into the minds of the media and consumers. Sometimes it’s enough, but often its not. Why struggle ? Learn how we can help. Click here.
